Clinton W Cooper
Founder and CEO

Clinton is the founder of Cooper Capital Group (CCG), an innovative investment firm for high net worth families and businesses.
Prior to CCG, Clinton was the Senior Wealth Management Advisor for Northwestern Mutual Investment Services in San Diego. He served as the Senior Investment Specialist in charge of teaching, training, and developing their investment program both in San Diego and Hawaii. Before joining Northwestern Mutual, he was a stock and bond trader for Morgan Stanley and then served as a financial advisor.
Clinton graduated Cum Laude from Fairmont State University majoring in Marketing and Business Management with an emphasis in Finance. In 2013 he was awarded Alumni of the Year for his work developing skills with graduating students seeking employment.
Clinton is very active in the community and has coached baseball and soccer for the last nine years. He has also volunteered and participated in the YMCA Adventure Guides. Clinton is passionate about giving back to the community and has been involved with a number of charitable organizations. He is excited about fulfilling his commitments to the Make A Wish Foundation. His children and staff are also involved with the program. Clinton loves to personally see the benefits of the organization’s work. He has also been an ardent supporter of Relay for Life, Habitat for Humanity, and the American Red Cross.
His life was profoundly changed with his sister’s death from Hodgkin’s Lymphoma at the age of 27. Clinton was diagnosed with the same disease at the age of 35 but was blessed to recover and today live a fully healthy life.
Clinton lives in Cardiff, CA with his four children and his dog Ted who is in training to be a service dog for children with autism. Clinton is the king of all backyard fun and prides himself on being an expert at ping pong and cornhole. His competitive spirit and zest for life are exhibited in all areas of his life.

Parker R Johnson
Chief Operations Officer

As the COO of Cooper Capital Group Parker is instrumental in running the operational components of the firm. He is also responsible for company financial decision-making, accounting and plays a key role in developing and implementing financial procedures to improve and maintain the financial health of the firm. Parker is a strategic thinker and is meticulous in his work.
Prior to CCG, Parker was with Northwestern Mutual.
Parker graduated from Willamette University with degrees in Economics and Sociology. He was Captain of his baseball team and was awarded all-conference honors twice for his work on the mound as a starting pitcher.
He gives back his time to Make a Wish Foundation and Ride for Roswell.
Parker and his wife Shauna live in Cardiff by the Sea. They are avid world travelers always searching for a new adventure. His interests include hiking, mountain biking, surfing or playing basketball.

Wealth Strategy Director

Kyle is the Wealth Strategy Director at CCG. Kyle specializes in the design of financial plans for families and business owners to help to insure their succession.
Before joining the Cooper Capital Group, Kyle spent 6 years in the financial services industry working with families and small business. Being raised in a family of entrepreneurs, Kyle understands the importance of planning and creating a strategy that fits with the needs of business owners.
Prior to the financial services industry, Kyle worked in Commercial HVAC pipe fitting / welding business while getting his degree in business from Cal State San Marcos majoring in Business.
Kyle is focused on the conservation of the environment and the ocean, he volunteers for the Surf Rider Foundation, Make a Wish Foundation, and Alzheimer’s Association.
He is engaged to his fiancé Brynn and they reside in Oceanside. Kyle's passions include fishing, camping, hiking, baseball and river rafting.

Nate grew up in North County San Diego and earned his business degree at Concordia University, Irvine in 2016. Ever since reading the “Intelligent Investor” at age 17, Nate has always been deeply interested in the world of finance and investing. Nate now lives in Carlsbad with his wife Kelsey and when he’s not working, he loves reading, surfing, and traveling. We are thrilled to have Nate share his passion for studying markets and his exceptional communication skills with our clients.
